Christchurch, New Zealand, will be the location for the first International Polar Tourism Research Network (IPTRN) conference to be held in the Southern Hemisphere from 29 August to 4 September 2014.
Given that Christchurch is New Zealand's Antarctic Gateway City, the theme of the conference will be:
"Polar Tourism Gateways: Past, Present and Future".
